I went to visit my aunt and my cousins today. One cousin is visiting from UK and the others from Singapore. My aunt, who is my mum's step-sister, is much sicker than she looks. Her breast cancer has spread to every rib, vertebra, pelvis and brain. Partly why my cousins are all down to see her. It hasn't reached the vital organs, liver etc so she is still well and pain-free - for now. And my cousin who is blind in her left eye and three-quarters of her right eye has been told that she will be completely blind in five years.
Sobering.
