Pain

The dull-sharp ache
that i can't seem to shake,
the pain that constricts my heart
and gnaws constantly,
persistently
tearing my insides apart
and making me wish it
could perhaps just finish
eating away
whatever kernel
is left
so that i would feel
nothing.
But no, the bitch karma
is not so kind,
and the agony
of your abandonment
keeps
torturing my heart,
tearing my soul
tormenting my mind.
